Use screw-in sleeves correctly
Screw-in sleeves make it very easy to join two wooden parts together. These connectors, also known as Rampa sleeves, are particularly popular in furniture construction. They ensure a completely stable yet detachable connection. While screwing in the sleeves isn't particularly difficult, potential errors can be found in the details.
It all starts with drilling the hole. If the hole isn't straight, the sleeve will end up crooked, and the metric thread won't hold. If, on the other hand, the hole is straight but the sleeve is screwed in crooked, the result is the same: the connection won't work.
