add the xteas file as xteas.json in the data directory
download and unzip the cache in the data/cache directory
change api.example.yml to api.yml in the data directory

This will fix the login issue
navigate to alter root directory in cmd and change the java version to 17
set JAVA_HOME="C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-17"
to run the server run
gradlew.bat build in the alter root directory
then run gradlew.bat run
to set up rsprox save in .rsprox in the user home directory:

set java to 11 or newer
run gradlew proxy in a separate command prompt
change the client to altar from old school runescape and press the launch button. it takes a while to launch.
