OpenAI has introduced a new beta feature in ChatGPT called “Tasks,” enabling users to schedule reminders and recurring actions. This functionality allows for one-time alerts, such as reminders about passport expirations, and recurring updates, like daily weather reports. Currently available to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers, users can manage up to 10 active tasks simultaneously. Tasks can be created by selecting “4o with scheduled tasks” in the model picker and specifying the desired action and timing. Notifications are delivered across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. This feature positions ChatGPT closer to traditional digital assistants like Siri and Alexa, enhancing its utility in daily planning and organization.
