San Diego mosque shooting leaves 3 dead and ends with 2 suspects dead | InfoMoney News
Three men were killed in a shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, the county's largest mosque, in the Clairemont neighborhood. Two suspects, aged 17 and 19, were found dead in a nearby car, in an apparent case of self-inflicted gunfire.
Police arrived in about four minutes, activated active shooter protocol, and searched the building with the support of up to 100 officers. One of the dead was the mosque's security guard, considered essential in preventing a larger massacre. The FBI is participating in the investigation, and Mayor Todd Gloria, of the Democratic Party, has promised to reinforce security at religious institutions.
