It's a new day in the Bachelorette experience and Brooke has chosen Jamie-Lee to take on her first single date, which Brooke hopes will be a date that 'they'll never forget!'. Brooke leads Jamie-Lee out onto the observation deck of the Sydney Tower Eye and to her surprise Osher is standing there with an official adjudicator from the Guinness World Records. It's revealed that both Brooke and Jamie-Lee will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the world's 'longest on-screen tv. kiss'. Brooke and Jamie-Lee break the record by almost a whole minute, leaving Jamie-Lee on cloud-nine as she feels both her and Brooke's relationship is exactly where she hoped they be after three long years.
As the sun rises on a new day in the Bachelor mansion Brooke has organised for everyone to join today's garden party themed Group Date – But, it's not long before it's revealed that Brooke still feels quite shaken from Carissa's shock departure from last night's cocktail party, so she has organized for Steve, otherwise known as the 'Human Lie Detector', to gauge whether those remaining in the mansion have genuine feelings for Brooke.
During the Human Lie Detector's questioning, Kurt comes clean and says that he believes Ryan has feelings for Jamie-Lee and not Brooke. It's not long before Kurt returns to the group and Jamie-Lee clocks that he is acting a little sheepish, and asks him what he told the Human Lie Detector. Kurt admits to her that told the Human Lie Detector that he believed that Ryan had feelings for her, which Jamie-Lee immediately defends herself by stating that she has only ever been friendly to Ryan, and re-affirms that her soul purpose for being here is for Brooke only.
After questioning Ryan, the Human Lie Detector reports his findings to Brooke and reveals to her about the rumour that Ryan has feelings for Jamie-Lee, leaving Brooke feeling blindsided. However, he confirms with Brooke that he does in-fact believe that Ryan's feeling for Jamie-Lee are one-sided, but suggests that Brooke talk to her to clear the air.
At the Cocktail Party, Brooke takes Jamie-Lee aside and they discuss this rumour involving Ryan. Jamie-Lee pours her heart out to Brooke and attempts to reassure Brooke that she has no feelings for Ryan, and only has feelings for her. Brooke tells Jamie-Lee that she does believe and trusts her, however, Jamie-Lee is still left feeling concerned that this rumour could potentially affect her chance of ending up with Brooke.
