HOW TO SET UP YOUR MICROPHONE ON DISCORD ON PC (FULL TUTORIAL) 💻✅

Updated and complete video on how you can set up and adjust your microphone on Discord. If you use Discord on your PC or laptop, be it Mac or Windows, especially if it's Windows 10 or Windows 11. So, if you like the video, if I helped you, leave a like and subscribe. And the video I made was quite old, so I'm making this updated video here because they changed a few things. I'll be showing you step by step how to set up your microphone so that you have that smooth microphone, without any noise, echoes in the background, etc.
Alright, so the first thing you'll do before you log into your Discord is go down here, to the section for your microphone in the bottom right corner. You'll be right-clicking here on the little microphone, which will open everything about your microphone. Okay, here in the microphone section, "Microphone access" will appear. Here you will leave it enabled. You will scroll down to the bottom. I recommend that you disable as many things as you can so as not to interfere with your microphone, the better.
Scrolling down to the bottom, you will also see "Allow desktop applications to access your microphone". If yours is not enabled here, you will enable it. I think that's it here in the microphone section. Let me see if there is anything else here that I can change that I can remember. Application permissions section: if you click on "Microphone", it will take you to the same screen that we entered the first time. You can enter here by right-clicking here at the bottom or simply go to settings, go here to privacy, and we will be taken to the same screen.
Okay. After you have activated your microphone in your Windows, then you can close here. Now you will be entering your Discord. As soon as you enter Discord, you will have the section for your servers. Here you'll find the streamer mode section in my case, because I'm recording, so it activates automatically. I joined a chat here. If I join a voice call and start talking, my microphone will be all messed up, there will be an echo in the background, there will be noise. How do I configure this?

I click here below, on user settings, on this little gear. Clicking on user settings, you'll see the section for my account, profile and several other things. What we're going to do is scroll down a little until we find "application settings". Click on "voice and video", which is the section we want to configure.

In the voice and video section, there are options for voice, video, sound effects panel and debugging. The only part we're going to change is the voice section. In "input device", you'll select your microphone. If I click there, you'll see that there is more than one microphone. If I select the wrong one, my voice will be all messed up when I'm talking to my friend on the call. Then select the correct microphone. In my case, it's "Fifine Microphone". I selected the correct one, and it will restart.
In "output device" is where you will hear your friend's audio, which in this case is your headset, so that it doesn't give that annoying feedback. Then select your headset. In my case, it's my PC's speaker, so I'll leave it that way, which is where the sound will be coming out.
After configuring this, go to "input voice" and test it. You'll have the option to test the microphone. If you click on it, you'll see the bar go up and down as you speak, and you'll even hear your voice. The more you lower the sensitivity, the more the microphone's sensitivity will lower. In my case, I leave it at maximum because I have adjustments on the microphone itself, but you'll adjust it here in "input volume". Then, click to stop the test.
In "output volume", you can increase or decrease it. This is what you'll hear from your friends. Going down a little further, you'll have "input mode". Mine is set to "voice detection." You can also choose "push to talk," where you set a key on your keyboard or mouse that, when pressed, activates the microphone. In my case, I leave "voice detection" to activate automatically.
In "input sensitivity," leave it active. In "voice processing," leave everything activated. In "noise suppression," there is the default and Krisp. I like to leave it on Krisp, because it is a little better. In "advanced voice detection," also leave it activated. "Automatic microphone control," leave it activated. In "system control," you can also leave it activated.
Going down further, there are some advanced options, such as "show warning when Discord does not detect audio." Leave this activated, because sometimes you are speaking and do not even know that your voice is not coming out. The other options are more of a preference. In "general attenuation," you can leave it at zero. When I speak, I leave it disabled.
