"The last thing I remember was speaking the words and performing the rites,
Though I no longer remember the meanings.
When I woke, I found a pale temple where none stood before,
Risen from a crack newly-rent in the earth.
All is quiet, there is no sound,
Except a whisper in my head that I can’t understand,
but know is coming from that damnable temple.
The color has been stolen from the land, and everything is gray and dead.
I call out and out and no one answers,
