There is something else that you may have missed in the movie’s opening scene. In the room of the little girl who owns Roddy, you can see that she has various stuffed animals around the room, which you see more of when Roddy leaves his cage to get ready for the day. One in particular, happens to be none other than Gromit, of Wallace and Gromit fame, who is a character owned by Aardman Animations, the same movie studio behind this very film.
