EDGECAM - 3 to 5 Axis Machining
This allows you to use shorter tools to reduce vibration. By tilting the tool away from the part you can also protect the shank and holder from collisions.
The 3 to 5-axis cycle manipulates the existing toolpath to cater for the changes in the vector. Suppose the toolpath cannot be successfully altered. i.e. exceeds maximum tilt or the holder cannot be tilted clear then that section of the toolpath is removed.
To use this cycle, you need a 5-Axis Simultaneous Milling licence.
