How to: Make a Clipping Mask in Adobe Illustrator
This is how you use a clipping mask in Adobe Illustrator to mask objects. Put an object on top that you would like to make a mask out of. Select all of the objects you want clipped by this mask. Go to Object-Clipping Mask-Make or press Ctrl+7. Everything outside of the top shape will now be invisible.
