Walkthrough Responsive Web Design
If you're interested in building your next drupal site using Responsive Web Design (RWD) methodology, this session is for you.
I'll walk you through the key concepts to know, demonstrate tools to make your job easier, and provide a solid foundation for getting started with that responsive site you're planning to build.
Topics will include, but are not limited to:
a) media queries (comparing different approaches)
b) responsive images and media
c) grid systems
d) style guides (designing in the browser)
e) modular css
f) using SASS
g) feature detection, polyfills, and graceful degradation
h) suggested drupal modules to use
This session focuses mostly on RWD applied to drupal 7. However, drupal 8 theming is also briefly discussed, with a specific theme shared.
Attendees will be able to clone the git repo and presentation materials in order to continue their skill building and education after the session.
