Double-Take Availability 5.3
Double-Take Availability Virtual Host Edition allows the protection of Hyper-V Virtual Machines from one host to another using Double-Takes renowned real time replication engine. Protection can be established either to a secondary host within the same IP subnet, or to a remote subnet where Double-Take will automatically update the TCP/IP settings of the Replica virtual machine.
This video demonstrates the protection of 3 Hyper-V Virtual Machines. An Exchange 2010 server, a SQL 2008 Server and an Oracle Server. The Exchange and SQL Servers are protected across 2 hosts located on the same subnet, whereas the Oracle server is protected to a host on a remote network with different IP address range.
The video walks though the protection process then completes a Live Failover of Exchange 2010 and Oracle along with a Test Failover of the SQL Server.
Protection of the Exchange and Oracle servers is then reversed whereas the Test Failover is "Undone".
Finally the servers are failed back to their original hosts and re-protected.
