A Comparison of Twixtor and Avid's Fluid Motion
No oflow works perfectly. These tests were done with Twixtor 5 and Avid Media Composer's Fluid Motion. In our tests Twixtor runs in 20% to 50% less time than Fluid Motion. To see the comparison in detail, make sure to watch at 720p and full resolution. Original was shot at 720p at 29.97 fps. Slowed down to 20% of original speed.
Note that in side-by-side tests that Twixtor warps much less brick texture than Media Composer when the dancer raises her leg at the beginning.
Also, note that Twixtor warps much less brick texture and the manhole cover when the bicycle goes offscreen from right to left. And when the pedestrians enter from the left at the end, much less of the bricks on the ground are pulled with their footsteps.
