When it comes to doing business on LinkedIn, NOBODY CARES about what your business does or is all about when you reach out to them.
How often do people send random, unsolicited message on LinkedIn that start with…
“I have a company that…”
“My business helps…”
“I thought you…”
“At XYX Company, we are a…”
It’s way past annoying and the reason why is because NOBODY CARES what you do, how you help, or what you think UNTIL….
They express interest.
If you are going to send messages to random people focus showing interest in the person as a human and not as a potential customer.
Focus on keeping your messages short and whatever you do, please do not start your messages with “I”.
If you start your message with “I” the focus of the message is no longer on the reader but is on you; and remember NOBODY CARES about what you want until you find a way to show that you care about what they want or need - FIRST!
