Messing around with using AI Offensive Combat and Move Blocks for obtaining missile fire solutions after being keyed into this method by Rdav.

It is neat because you can go mostly hands off, but not so great because the target id returned by the offensive combat block is not the grid id, so you can have multiple unique ids for a single ship. This makes identifying unique targets a total PITA. I implemented a targeting handoff between the ai block and camera raycast (visible @ roughly 0:05) and that sort of alleviates the issue, but without making some assumptions, there is no way to determine if the thing raycast is pinging is your ai block target.

LAMP is pretty much at the programmable block character limit, so this feature may be sacrificed in favor of camera raycast multi-targeting. I may spin the AI block based targeting into its own script and combine it with the turret targeting logic in LAMP to create a dedicated point defense script.
