This video demonstrates how to update the firmware of the Stadia Controller directly from Chrome web browser. After that I paired Stadia Controller to Google Chromecast Ultra over BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). Google Stadia Controller also works on GNU Linux distributions like Ubuntu either over Bluetooth or with a USB-C cable. The video features tests with evtest in CLI and with HTML5 GamePad Test in a web browser. The open source software input-remapper that is compatible with both X11 and Wayland and has been written in Python with a systemd service allows mapping Stadia Controller keys to key codes for keyboard. This way I can remap Stadia Controller keys and use it for playing games or applications on Linux.
