Testing the iPhone X with a DJI Osmo Mobile
A lot of people have speculated that the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) hardware on the latest iPhones (including the iPhone X) may create some video "jitters" when shooting video aided by a gimbal, like the DJI Osmo Mobile. So I shot video a few different ways to find out - you can see the results for yourself.
Note: This was shot using the original DJI Osmo Mobile, purchased in December of 2017. Early in January 2018 DJI announced a second generation of the Osmo Mobile - but so far the only difference I've read about it that it allows for shooting "portrait" videos more easily. There has been nothing mentioned (that I have seen) about improved stabilization when using smartphones that have their own image stabilization systems.
