Despite the cartographic proximity of the regional center, the Dnieper in the southern part of the Mogilev region has a wild character. Due to the predominantly steep banks about 3 meters high, bordered by a strip of deciduous trees, the river has a canyon appearance. While the wide floodplain removes both villages and asphalt roads at a decent distance, which provides natural privacy. Plus many deep stretches, constantly updated by river workers during sand extraction. As a result, an attractive picture is obtained for both fishing and spiritual relaxation, at least of inter-district significance.
The river history of the southern suburb of MOGILEV begins from the outskirts of the village of BUYNICHI, where the DNIEPER, widely bending to the right bank, leaves the territory of the regional center, moving away from civilization with a pronounced floodplain that has retained its outlines from the times of the PRA-DNIEPER.
The village of BUYNICHI itself has long looked like a part of MOGILEV. At the same time, its eastern outskirts are outlined by such a steep slope that the exit along it to the floodplain after rains that wash away the rocky road is very problematic. For this case, an access road from the village of SELETS is provided.
At the edge of the city microdistrict GREBENEVO, the outermost houses of which are 300 meters from the river, the DNEPR bends widely and gently into the left bank. Such a trajectory of the riverbed, even framed by steep ravines 3-4 meters high, does not promise outstanding depths. But in fact, there is a huge pit of a cult nature here, with a maximum depth of up to 10 meters. They fish it mainly from a long terrace bordering the foot of the left-bank slope and in places resembling a cobblestone pavement. Fishermen are such frequent guests here that they have thoroughly trampled the ravine slope, and at the foot they have arranged many comfortable fishing spots. They fish the water area of the pit from the right bank, but less often and not in such comfortable conditions. The slope here is quite densely overgrown with a strip of trees and shrubs, although a confident track rolls up to it from year to year.
A WHIRLPOOL AT THE WATER INTAKE. The water intake of the Mogilev industrial zone is a landmark of a particularly attractive section of the Dnieper, primarily for fishing. The fact is that the water area in the area of the water intake has been thoroughly and continuously deepened. At the same time, the channel is removed from the city at a decent distance by a reclaimed floodplain. While both banks are still bordered by steep ravines 3 - 4 meters high, accompanied by a strip of trees and shrubs.
The village of SOLTANOVKA provides as many as three approaches leading to four isolated places that are important for spiritual relaxation on floodplain ravines, thoroughly removed from civilization, they are also especially attractive for fishing.
DISCHARGE OF TREATMENT WORKS. Another, and judging by the number of fishermen, periodically the most popular left bank of the entire southern part of the DNIEPER in the Mogilev region. It is located at the top of a gentle turn of the riverbed, cut by the discharge of water from the city's treatment facilities. And this is not a joke. It seems that the treatment facilities cope with their purpose. At least because they fish directly on the drain from the treatment facilities, which has a decent pressure and a width of 10 meters.
The turn near the village of NOVOSELKI is a well-known recreation area. Here, the meadow access road, with a kilometer in length, is accessible to cars most of the year, which is a rare case for a floodplain track.
The tourist DNIEPER near the village of DASHKOVKA begins from the southern outskirts, where the riverbed draws a gentle turn with a total length of 2 kilometers, leaving a wide meadow on the right bank.
As far as I can remember, sand has been systematically mined here. From year to year, the location of the floating excavator changes in accordance with the technology of developing the rapids. Accordingly, the underwater configuration of the channel, where the depth of freshly dug holes reaches 8 - 10 meters, also changes.
STAYKI AND SURROUNDINGS
Saying goodbye to the Mogilev region, the DNEPR sculpts a huge bow, composed of extremely diverse river features - from a forested ridge to a floodplain beach, a spacious backwater and rocky placers.
The bow ends with a chic turn with a stone water area up to 3.5 meters deep. Stones are everywhere: both in the channel, a...
