Egypt Bans Niqab in Schools | SoSouth
The Egyptian government announced a ban on the wearing of a niqab (full face veil) by girls inside schools for the upcoming academic year, starting on September 30. As per Egyptian Minister of Education, Reda Hegazy, hair covers are permissible, but they must not obscure the student’s face.
