Komuniti MYEG World Cancer Awareness Day Visit to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM
In conjunction with World Cancer Awareness Day in February, Komuniti MYEG volunteers on 20 February 2019 spent the afternoon with children at the paediatric ward of PPUKM (also known as Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM) in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The paediatric ward consists of General Kids (Medical), General Treatment & School in Hospital, Oncology & Haematology, and Children Surgery, ORL, Orthopaedic and Maxillofacial.
The children were entertained by a balloonist clown who crafted fun objects together with the special appearance of two mascots, Minnie Mouse and Spiderman who posed for photos with the children. To make the visit more memorable, the children received an instant photo which was printed on the spot. Each child also received a cupcake and goodie bag containing a towel, box drinks, biscuits and body & hair shampoo.
