Would advise reading description here if you really want to know more about Growing Strange if this farming stage has been giving you troubles.
Before I get started massive shoutouts to Sean from The Battle Cats. Also lcy0x1 for giving me the chance to test this lineup beforehand in BCU.
Alright, so Growing Strange got nerfed in version 8.0, along with this the addition of P Coins allows for some really interesting new lineups you can make for Growing Strange. The lineup I use has mixed unit levels specifically three units are above the standard levels I usually use, so there is a bit of strong units in this lineup, but I'll go with it since it's better than needing all units at the level 40~50 mark just to stand a chance in pre-nerf Growing Strange for no ubers.
Anyways for the lineup itself it uses level 30 Manic Eraser, +48 Eraser, 30+8 Ramen, 30 Bombercat, 40+19 Cyborg, 36+1 Cataur, 30+1 Cyberpunk, 30 Waitress, 30+1 Octo, and level 40 Roe. The big one is Cyborg, her level is quite high, but this is just her +'s that I used a long time ago, however from some testings Cyborg Cats around the level 40~50 range can still work with this lineup. Roe Cat is level 40 as well, this is for the An Elder Secret, and for Color of Blood. Last is Cataur, who got leveled up a bit for Growing Strange, this is because at level 37 he can take a Zoge hit in Seas of Death. Also very important to note that the P Coins I put into my Cataur were gaining Zombie type, Zombie Kill, and level 9 Recover Speed Up (Cooldown basically).
Another big asset to this lineup is Breakerblast, this cannon is really strong for Growing Strange and I would highly recommend everyone to use it, it may take a bit to get used to how it works, but once you get the hang of it this cannon can really help with strats. The only real time I see the regular Cat Cannon being better is for stopping the Brollows from clipping in Fear of Flying. Breakerblast level 1.
Alright so Dual Erasers, Ramen, Octo, and Bombercat are pretty much mandatory for these lineups so no need to get into why they're in the lineup. However I use Cyborg because it makes the first stage very straightforward, is the main carry for Fear of Flying, very helpful on Hearts of Darkness, and my main attacker for Holy Wrath.
Cataur was put in this lineup with his new P Coin Talents, becoming an Anti-Zombie unit makes this team no longer rely on Hijiri, a colab unit. Alongside Cataur being the designated Zombie Killer on the team, he's also very helpful for the first stage, as he can take out the Maawth before Berserkory gets in the way. He's also pretty helpful for Fear of Flying since he still has that typing as well.
Waitress Cat is my crit unit, and there is some really insane strats you can do with her as your Clash of Steel unit. Nothing else really to say here, basically my crit unit of choice for this lineup, however when I get to explaining the individual stages, I'll explain how P Coin Catasaurus can also work well.
Cyberpunk is pretty standard for Growing Strange lineups, however please note that I tried my best to not have full on "stack Cyberpunks to Perma-Slow" strats, as only one stage is like that. Anyways, Cyberpunk Stack is specifically for Galactic Threat, since stacking him is easy there. However he can help a good amount for most stages, and is pretty helpful on Holy Wrath.
Roe Cat is pretty much for the Berserkory in An Elder Secret, the increase in level was to make dealing with Berserkory + Maawth much less of a problem, because not all Elder Secret runs kill Maawth before Berserkory stands in the way. Roe also demolishes Color of Blood at this level so he's a pretty good fit as my last unit for this lineup, he can be used for tanking some enemies in the other stages, but that rarely happens.
Alright as for the actual stages themselves there's a lot written, so I'll link a pastebin for those who are interested https://pastebin.com/BnpUY7by
That basically covers it for Growing Strange Post-Nerf, I know I did say I wouldn't really do this, especially with strong leveled units, but really only 3 units are bit higher leveled then I what I usually use. Also I really wanted to help people with Growing Strange rather than just showoff Growing Strange without ubers. Hopefully this helps, and I'd like to work a bit more on another Growing Strange video that really explains many more specific units you can use, strats, and other lineups you can make. Though for now, this is fine enough. Also sorry for the little edit in Hearts of Darkness, accidentally swiped up on my phone mid-recording.
