Node.js - Building a Comment Box from scratch using Express, mysql ( Part 2/2)
Building a comment box (section) that alows users to post comments.
The application is simple, it's basically sending data ( comment) from the user by an Http post request using Ajax, the comment will be stored in the Database (MySQL), also retrieve comments from the Database and display them to the users whenever a user send an Http get request of the page.
Video structure:
1- A few seconds preview of the application.
2- Installing dependencies & file structure.
3- Setting up the express server and page route.
4- Layout and design of the comment section using pug.
5- Front-end development using jQuery, sending a post request of the comment data (user name, content) and post the HTML of the comment.
6- Connection to Database, query it. (store and retrieve comments)
7-Display comments.
The video as a whole is 18 minutes long, I divided it in to two small nice videos (part 1) and (part 2)
