Mirror Formula-
Mirror formula is a relation between object distance (u), image distance (v) and focal length (f) of a spherical mirror.
Distance (u) is distance of the object from the pole of the mirror.
Distance (v) is distance of the image from the pole of the mirror and focal length (f) is the distance of principal focus of the mirror from the pole.
f = R/2
∴ The mirror formula can be written as 1/u + 1/v = 1/f = 2/R
This formula is valid in all situations for all spherical mirrors for all positions of object.
