While the macOS Catalina is entirely out, you can take a copy of macOS Catalina from App Store.
If you have more than one Mac you want to upgrade to macOS 10.15 Catalina but don't want to waste so much bandwidth downloading it for each machine, one option is to create a bootable installer on a spare USB flash drive.
👉 Use the bootable installer, After creating the bootable installer,
follow these steps to use it:
1. Plug the bootable installer into a compatible Mac.
2. Use Startup Manager or Startup Disk preferences to select the bootable
installer as the startup disk, then start up from it. Your Mac will start up
to macOS Recovery.
3. Choose your language, if prompted.
A bootable installer doesn't download macOS from the Internet, but it does require the Internet to get information specific to your Mac model, such as firmware updates. If you need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, use the Wi-Fi menu in the menu bar.
Select Install macOS (or Install OS X) from the Utilities window, then click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions.
👉 How to use Startup Manager?
When you use Startup Manager to select a startup disk, your Mac starts up from that disk once, then returns to using the disk selected in Startup Disk preferences.
1. Press and hold the Option (Alt) key immediately after turning on or
restarting your Mac.
2. Release the Option key when you see the Startup Manager window.
(If your Mac is protected by a firmware password, you can release the key
when you're asked to enter the password).
3. Select your startup disk, then click the arrow under its icon, or press
Return.
If you press and hold the Control key during this step, your selection is saved in Startup Disk preferences, so it persists until you change it.
