Lamborghini, Ferrari, and a little Cosworth
The Cizeta V16T is a supercar that almost no one has seen, but is impossible to forget. In the late 1980s, engineers decided to do the impossible: combine two Lamborghini V8s into a single, massive engine. The result was one of the most unusual engines in history—a 6-liter V16. Two crankshafts, four cylinder heads, eight camshafts, and 64 valves. And two independent injection and ignition systems—because, essentially, these are two engines working as one. An engineering feat of the late 1980s that still amazes even Ferrari and Lamborghini enthusiasts.
