Let's Play Alvora Tactics - #09: Alvora's Core
In this part, I finish off the Watcher that froze the game last time, explore the rest of this Golden Palace chunk, and make it to the Core of Alvora.
Boy, the Gate: Flood and Gate: Onslaught combo is really powerful at this point of the game. As we saw in this part, this was able to take down five to six of the shadow enemy combatants even before they got their turns. This meant taking care of the remaining enemies was quite easy.
At this rate, I'm going to keep my character classes mostly the same. My sixth and final party member will probably be a Mechanist/Bat Handler, as I would like to see how those classes function. From the names alone, they sound interesting - perhaps they are tool-oriented and beastmaster classes respectively?
The Alvora Core fight wasn't too bad. Though, the battle would have proceeded more in the core's favor if I wasn't able to quickly dispatch the burrows it kept summoning in the first phase, and regenerate MP rapidly. If the boss was none-stationary, it would been a lot harder.
