2015 Tesla Model S P90D door handles not presenting door power loss wiring harness problem FIXED
I've been having intermittent problems with losing power to my driver side door, which created problems like the windows, not being controlled from the left side and the left side door handle, not presenting. I tried placing the control unit to no avail, and then noticed that the lights on the door would go off if I open the door past a particular point. This had me instantly looking at wires, and when I pulled off the speaker, I noticed the wiring harness was really stretched where it was attached to the inside of the door. I clipped off this connector, releasing a lot of stress from the wiring harness and I haven't seen the problem since.
I will still probably need to replace the wiring harness at some point, but everything is working right now, so I'm not gonna go that deep just yet as I'll have to pull the inside of the dash off to get those connectors which I understand or not easy to get to.
