We brought together three powerhouse artists (Major League Djz, Jay Music and MDU aka TRP) in Johannesburg to capture the instrumentation that defines it.
Mdu AKA TRP, the producer and DJ from Diepkloof, Johannisburg, South Africa, has been pointed out as an Amapiano genre figurehead, known for his innovative and futuristic take on the genre's signature sound. He is often credited with being behind the log drum sound that has become a mainstay of the genre.
