Kazakhstan's future lies in education, because it is high-quality human capital that determines a country's competitiveness in the 21st century: not raw materials or infrastructure, but people with critical thinking, fundamental knowledge, a scientific culture, and the ability to create something new. Investments in schools, universities, and science will allow the country to overcome its dependence on raw materials, reduce social inequality, develop an intellectual elite, and retain talented individuals within the country.
This is precisely the purpose of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, one of the largest educational projects in the history of independent Kazakhstan. Has this experiment succeeded?
