I wanted to let the audience know that the possibility that this creator, when addressing certain issues, attempts to be inflammatory and exaggeration to promote and drive engagement, that possibility did not go over my head.
Following being completely ready to submit my video, I watched the labb ratt response to Arenthio and subsequent response.
going as far as to say the fairly levelhead video made by lab rat was made with malice and that labrat is simply trying to slander him because he's bigger; lab ratt being 2,5ish and arenthio being 110hish. I'm curious if the inclination that I am "punching down" will be made despite addressing it before both videos had even been made. But from what I see there is some personal DMS and back and forth between the 2 that clearly was adding kerosine to the flames so I can understand that this video was a bit more heavy handed than perhaps any response made towards someone else with a similar or firmer tone.
i'm very off put by Arenthios' response. It was fairly inflammatory, comparing socio-racial inequalities such as the British versus the Irish when referring to the problems he addresses in the fandom. Name dropping divisive issues such as sexism and and suggestions that these issues are in any way comparable to the issues discussed (popu furries, cammeo and exploiting followers) It's in my personal opinion please do not compare literal dehumanization of certain groups of people to issues within the fandom within internet culture.
As for his personal anecdotes in relation to his content: I have no qualms with divulging your personal battles with things such as depression, loneliness or other and applying that hindsight to issues yousee. I just think it's important to include the potential for additional information that is unrelated to your own experience and each should be treated with individuality and respect as an issue to be addressed.
I wish Arenthio nothing but the best and mean no ill intent with my video. I in no way am using this video to punch down, slander or ignite issues but wanted to address the loud minority who may have similar feelings, start a conversation and come to an informed conclusion addressing both sides and their grievances.
