Everybody is into YouTubing these days. To be a successful Youtuber, you need video editing skills. There are several types of Youtube videos. Not all of them need all kinds of fancy video editing. Here I'm talking about Technical Screencasting, which means recording the screen while coding or installing some software or showing how to use a piece of code, etc. It can be object-oriented PHP, ES6 Javascript, WordPress, Plugins, Dev Ops, etc. To edit videos for Screencasting is nothing like editing for a Vlog or a Gaming channel or any other fancy genre. Technical or Coding-related Screencasting needs a very simple array of video editing skills.
When I was starting out I scoured the whole internet in search of a simple set of video editing techniques based on Adobe Premiere Pro but failed to find them. On YouTube, everybody was showing things that were too fancy for my needs. Basically, I was looking for the following few:
Screen Recording (w/ tools like OBS Studio)
Basic editing and navigation (w/ Adobe Premiere Pro)
Zooming in & out
Blurring Text
Transitions
Image pop-ups etc.
But since I've failed to find all these in one place I've decided to make the list myself. So here it is. A set of tutorials specific to Technical or Coding related Screencasting in one neat little playlist ...
In this video, I show the basic video editing tips & tricks (Zooming with Magnify effect) with Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
