How to crochet a snake with a wire frame: The COBRA "Pelageya" | Part 1 of 11: Overview & Materials

Thanks to its reinforced wire frame, the cobra can hold any pose, making it a perfect, eye-catching interior decoration, a powerful talisman for the Year of the Dragon, or an unforgettable handmade gift that will leave everyone speechless. This masterclass is so detailed, with every step shown up close, that even a determined beginner can handle it and achieve a fantastic result.
In this series, we will be knitting the body to create a unique texture that mimics snakeskin, and crocheting all the other parts.
❗️Important: If you don't knit or simply prefer your hook, you can crochet the entire body using the same stitch pattern as the hood. Your cobra will turn out just as beautiful, with the fabric being only slightly denser. The finished cobra is an impressive 77 cm (30 inches) long!

In this video, I am making the Lilac Cobra. Below you will find the materials for it, as well as for an alternative Brown Cobra version.

Yarn: YarnArt ETAMIN (100% acrylic, 180 m / 30 g)
Main body color (lilac): No. 430
Hood (bright purple): No. 431
Belly (white): No. 421
Stripes (blue): No. 429
Eyes (black, yellow, orange): No. 422, No. 439, No. 446
For the Brown Cobra (alternative color scheme):
Yarn: YarnArt ETAMIN
Light Brown: #447-А
Milky: #423
White: #421
Yellow: #439
Orange: #446
Grey (Flesh): #463
Black: #422
Hood: Long Wool - Brown (#H114)
Pattern: YarnArt Begonia - Brown (#77)
Tools (for both versions):
Crochet Hook: 1 mm
Knitting Needles: 2.5 mm (for the body)
Frame Wire: 1.4 mm diameter (approx. 1.7-2 meters long)
Stuffing: Holofiber/Polyester Fiberfill
Additionally: A thin needle for eye embroidery, a tapestry needle for sewing parts, scissors, measuring tape, pins for marking, and fabric-based medical tape to wrap the wire frame.
