Tim Holtz Village Dwelling Thinlet Dies- Part 1
If you have this die set already, then you know how fun it is to make these miniature villages by Tim holtz the designer. I love that you can customize these dwellings.
As you can see with the completed villages, I have made using these fun dies by Tim Holtz, just by adding layers of thin cardboard along with some light molding paste not only does it make your creation stronger, but it also adds texture to the house.
Putting the pieces together is easy, using a hot glue gun. On my part 2 video I will show you how I assemble the recycle cereal cardboard boxes, or any other cardboard with same thickness to put together these small villages.
Great tip shown in my video is where I show how I assemble the houses roof top, by adding a layer of thin paper first, before securing the cardboard top with glue. The layer of paper is glued down to the tabs on the house, which adds another layer of strength to your creation when you bond the cardboard roof with hot glue on top of that.
Add some scalloped edges with paper punches, here I used a scallop postage stamp square punch on one of the roof tops.
