Hurtling Through Space by David Maslanka I Cadenza Twello
Performed at the World Music Contest 2017 on the 14th of July.
Conductor: Robbert Houtkamp
Hurtling Through Space – which is what we are doing on planet Earth. Terrifying as this realization may seem, the universe is not inimical to us. At the core of the “all that is” is the heart of love.
With great regret we learned that David Maslanka has died during the night of August 6th, 2017. We are very grateful to play this piece and hope that his music will survive for a long time, inspire a lot of people and continues to touch thousands.
