Disable Permissions Inheritance
When adjusting permissions to a folder, its subfolders automatically inherit permissions from the parent folder. However, you can disable this inheritance for any subfolder you choose.
From the folder of your choice, select Permissions.
Toggle off Permissions Inheritance, then choose to either remove all previously inherited permissions so you can add users and groups to the folder from scratch
or only keep existing permissions so you can adjust the list of users and groups moving forward.
