Paralyzed Pup Go-
Jasper is my fifteen-year-old miniature schnauzer who has been paralyzed for eight years. Even though he has slowed down a bit recently, he still uses his wheelchair and is a happy, sweet dog.

We have been using the Changing Station since he started recovering from his back surgery eight years ago. We use it to help him stand in an upright position to express his bladder more completely while using both hands freely, rather than having him on the floor or on his side, making it much easier to clean and empty his bladder completely (helping to prevent urinary tract infections which unfortunately, are quite common in these pets)...All while putting less stress on my own back by not having to hunch over him and having the stand raised to my waist height.

Besides being able to change diapers more quickly and efficiently with little mess, I use the Changing Station to support Jasper while I wrap bandages on his feet (for protection from scuffing when knuckling under when walking) without twisting or tweaking his joints... Home physical therapy exercises, stretching and massage are also part of his daily routine in order to help strengthen his muscles, increase his circulation and improve his mobility for his overall wellbeing.
