How to set up Reaper as a Multiband Multi FX Signal Processor for FREE
You like Fabfilter Saturn 2 but don't want to dish out €180 for it?
You enjoy Unfiltered Audio's TRIAD but missed the sale and €300 is too much?
You love Klanghelm's free MJUC jr. but wish you could use it in multiband mode? (pretty specific this one huh?)
Today I'm going to show you just one of the many possible ways you can get these kinds of effects for free, using only Reaper's routing matrix.
Since this is a much more complex how-to, I decided to actually speak during the video, so bear wth me on this one.
To sum up, we're going to create three crossovers and route them to a bus track, then route that bus track to five different FX tracks running in parallel, namely compression, saturation, modulation, delay and reverb.
You can do this with any plugin, free or paid, but I chose only free ones to demonstrate this.
Of course you can bypass the bus completely and route directly from each of the crossover tracks to each of the FX tracks, but I found it simpler and more organized to demonstrate the signal flow this way.
