Sometimes a movie's star, or even its top actor or actress, isn't the best aspect of the film. Let's take a look at several films where the supporting actor outperformed the lead actor. To honor those supporting cast members that outperformed their co-stars and delivered us their best, most unforgettable performances.

First up: Heath Ledger as The Joker in "The Dark Knight" in 2008. Although he played a supporting role in the movie, his portrayal of the iconic villain was so mesmerizing and intense that he ended up stealing the show and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor posthumously.
