What else can you do with waveform kit?
Waveform Kit is a set of tools designed and optimized to help you animate and sync audio waveform progress animations. Well, the audio waveforms are simply images and Waveform Kit is a set of effects that can be used to manipulate those images (with automatic progress animation in mind).
The effects can be used on anything! (except transitions.)
There's "SC Colorizer" that allows you to make fills or shapes, or can be used to key out specific colors! On any clip! (Using the built in Color Mask.)
There's "Alpha Shadow" which allows you to add a drop shadow to any part of an image that has transparency.
There's "SC Reflect V" that allows you to copy the top half of in image and invert it to a bottom half (mirror reflection but only across the horizontal plane).
There's "Time Marker" that can be used to create interesting Wipes based on the timing of the clip.
When used with Shape Masks (built into each effect) you can create things like this progress bar. With the feathering features of Shape Masks, you can make the bar look like a color-lighted (laser) tube that glows.
All of these can be used on an adjustment layer to manipulate timing!

Basic video clip (iphone, imac and macbook) was this week's Free Clip of the Week from Pond5. The screens are pure white. The screens were filled with other videos with "scKey Replace" (part of the SC KeyFX bundle [https://fcpxtemplates.com/sc-keyfx/]). The titling is a new effect tentatively called Super Shadow which has not been released yet.
