These four programming language designers and enthusiasts took to the DConf '22 stage with the goal of discussing the design of D and Lua, and programming design in general. The panel, moderated by Ethan Watson, answered and discussed several questions. How does the Lua team maintain portability with C in the face of undefined and implementation-defined behavior? What features would they like to implement from other languages in their own? Does Roberto agree with Walter's DConf 2017 assertion that the lack of memory safety will kill C?
