The Occurrence
The Occurrence stands as one of my favorites of our many ghost / monster films. Initially intended to be a horror film about a house being possessed and attacking its inhabitants, the final product turned out to be way weirder... and partially a comedy? I'm not sure what the intention of the kitchen sequence was, but it certainly wasn't horror.
This turned out to be the last film I did the sound design on- it turned out so bad that Frostiar took over from there, and his sound has made our films so much more outstanding! My editing on this wasn't the best, but it was my first time using exclusively After Effects to make the VFX of a video. Turned out pretty well, all things considered!
While filming took only a day, editing took me 5 months. This was due to a hard drive corruption that very nearly destroyed all traces of this video. After 2 months, a company recovered it for us. My hard drive is still labelled as "Recovery" to remind me to make backups!
