Metal Detecting And Bottle Dump Digging
Today Jim and I search a Shenandoah Valley farm hoping to find the site of an old rumored private horse racing track from the early 1800s. Jim immediately finds a thick American Large Cent, possibly a 1793 cent that could be worth thousands of dollars. I wander off and discover a creekside bottle dump that dates from the late 1800s and is loaded with broken crocks and bottles.
