Soviet cosmonaut Viktor Afanasyev wore an Elektronika watch when he flew to the Mir space station. There is no reliable information about the exact model of the watch he was wearing, but the electronic unit and case were used in the development of this model. The classic octagonal case is made of stainless steel, and the CHN-52 electronic unit (developed and manufactured by NPO Integral RB, Minsk) is housed under a scratch- and damage-resistant mineral crystal.
The caseback is engraved with a unique number. A total of 1,080 watches were produced. 10 hours for every minute of the first flight.
Each watch is packaged in a separate cardboard box for safe transportation and comes with instructions (warranty card). 12-month warranty.
In standard mode, the watch displays hours, minutes, seconds (extended digit height of 5.5 mm), and the current date.
