Path of Exile through the eyes of a newbie in 2022
Wow, I finally got through this brain-crushing experience. Everything is canon, I didn't look anywhere, I tested everything myself. I also checked if it's possible for a newbie to play PoE without guides and create a decent character at the end (spoiler, no). Overall, I'm left with very mixed feelings: it's kind of okay, you can get hooked, but it's also kind of crap, with some annoying nuances. At times, I even fondly remembered Dark Souls, when you're running to defeat a boss for the 20th time, but the game allows you to spend all your souls before that death marathon. They don't offer such generosity in PoE; if you have a crappy build, you might never level up. In short, even this really got me a little burned out. Enjoy!
