I have a video message for you all from Ricardo Harris…
Hello everyone!! I want to say first thing, I want to say big thanks to Krystal Starks who did everything to set up the fundraiser and this page for me. I just want to short video myself. My name is Ricardo Harris and I am from South Bend, Indiana. Right now, I am in central state prison in Macon, GA. i’ve been here over seven years, for life with 10 years sentence for murder case BUT I DID NOT COMMIT CRIME.
After the sentence for the Trial court, I've been overwhelmed, extremely stressed, frustrated… i don't know what i am doing, but I will not give up and keep trying to fight for my freedom. It was really tough. Finally it's time to make a video myself to tell all deaf communities, the hearing world, and interpreters to understand how my feeling has been through a lot for over 7 years. It was pretty tough my life there in prison.
My family paid a lot of money to lawyers, everything trying to get me to come home and it was exhausting. One thing is the problem is that this world does not have enough knowledge of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and it's very tough for me because i am deaf. HEARD organization and ACLU found me that they did not realize that I am innocent and I explained the whole story of what happened to them, they were really touched by heart and a lot of emotions (cried, upset, heartbroken).
My kids are waiting for me to come home. So I want to tell you everyone that shares his story with your family, friends, co-workers, all people. Also, ask them to donate to help pay for a lawyer to fight my FREEDOM, please donate! That's all I say right now. I love you all communities.
