This song is in pulaar language (Fuuta, North of Senegal). Baaba Maal is calling the name of the ancestor Sidi (son of) Gañsiri (mother) and grandson of Demba (grandfather) from the tooroodo leading class (the noble) and the whole country (saare) to inform them about the passing away of a great person -one of them. Ñiiwa (Elephant), Ngaari (Bull) or Mbaroodi (Lion) is used to name those great persons.

“Saa” is used to insist when you want someone to listen to or hear what you are saying. It's like "don't you hear?" Sappo ma ndokku ma mbaajotaa ko ma means you, whom ten (fingers) give and will never tell you «Enough! I am tired of giving you». It’s a Haalpulaar saying globally meanning you who are living decently with the product of your own work and who don't count on others.
-------------------------
Sidi Gañsiri Demba torodo (bis)! Saare!
Ñiiwa waraa ma, saa! (The Elephant has been killed, be aware of that!)
Sappo ma ndokku ma mbajotaa ko ma!
Sidi Gañsiri Demba torodo! Saare (bis)!
Ñiiwa waraama, saa!

Music : Ludwig Göransson ft. Baaba Maal - Wakanda [from "Black Panther (Original Score)"]
