General Information Technology is a subject introduced to grade 12 students in schools in Sri Lanka. This subject was first introduced when information technology was introduced to schools. A national level examination is held at the end of the 12th grade for this subject which is taught only in grade 12. The aim of this subject is to provide all the students with the necessary information technology knowledge and increase their information technology literacy.
GIT is the computer related optional subject that has to be appeared by all the A/L candidates. Like General English, GIT is a timely need for any career. Computer Literacy at the secondary Level is so important for your higher education too.
The General Information Technology (GIT) examination for years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 held on Saturday, 18th March 2023 from 9.00 AM to 12.10 PM in 3269 examination centers across the island-wide.
සාමාන්ය තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය යනු ශ්රී ලංකාවේ පාසල්වල 12 ශ්රේණියේ සිසුන සදහා හදුන්වා දී ඇති විෂයයකි. පාසල්වලට තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය හදුන්වාදීමේදී මුලින්ම හදුන්වා දුන්නේ මේ විෂයයි. 12 ශ්රේණියේදී පමණක් ඉගැන්වෙන මෙම විෂය සදහා 12 ශ්රේණිය අවසානයේදී ජාතික මට්ටමේ විභාගයක් පැවැත්වේ. මෙම විෂයයේ අරමුණ වන්නේ සියළු සිසුනට අවශ්ය තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණික දැනුම ලබා දී ඔවුන්ගේ තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ සාක්ෂරතාව ඉහළ නැංවීමයි.
GIT යනු සියලුම උසස් පෙළ අපේක්ෂකයින් විසින් පෙනී සිටිය යුතු පරිගණක ආශ්රිත වෛකල්පිත විෂයයයි. සාමාන්ය ඉංග්රීසි මෙන්ම, GIT යනු ඕනෑම වෘත්තියකට කාලෝචිත අවශ්යතාවයකි. ද්විතියික මට්ටමේ පරිගණක සාක්ෂරතාවය ඔබේ උසස් අධ්යාපනයටද ඉතා වැදගත් වේ.
2019, 2020, 2021 සහ 2022 වසර සඳහා සාමාන්ය තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ (GIT) විභාගය 2023 මාර්තු 18 සෙනසුරාදා පෙරවරු 9.00 සිට ප.ව 12.10 දක්වා දිවයින පුරා විභාග මධ්යස්ථාන 3269කදී පැවැත්විණි.
