Running SOLIDWORKS 2020 on MacBook Pro 16" (using AMD GPU)
You need to change the registry in order to utilize GPU acceleration.
Orange highlight selection takes 14 seconds to highlight a single part, whereas it is instantaneous after the Registry change.
I am using MacBook Pro 16-inch, Parallels Desktop 15 for Mac, Windows 10, and Solidworks 2020.
In the registry, copy the workaround value
From:
"\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS 2020\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Advanced Micro Devices\Radeon"
To:
"\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS 2020\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Parallels and ATI Technologies Inc."
and
"\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS 2020\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Parallels Inc. & ATI Technologies Inc."
