IBM Developer for z 16.0.0: What's new for Db2 for zOS Development
IBM Developer for z/OS 16.0.0 introduced the new Db2 Database Tooling! Now, Application Developers can use integrated functions to access Db2 z/OS. New capabilities include the ability to configure connections to databases and SQL Tuning Services, execute SQL statements from COBOL or PL/I programs and validate schema, table and column names in EXEC SQL statements against a database catalog. It also provides integration with the Db2 Accessories Suite, including the option to run Visual Explain, Statistics Advisor, and Capture Query Environment.
