In this video, you will learn how to create Sparklines in Microsoft Excel.
You can use Sparklines to visually represent data, while showing the different trends in a series of values, thereby saving you time that would have been used to make graphs one by one.
To get started, I move to the page that I will be working on by clicking on the insert tab in Microsoft Excel. To create a sparkline, I move towards the right side of the screen and I click on the line function within the sparkline ribbon, which displays a dialog box that shows the data range of the sparkline that I want to represent, for which I want to represent the monthly data.
Next, I click to input the location range and note that my sparkline will appear in the row of cells which I have headlined as Sparkline Presentation. If I am okay with all the data, I click on the ok button to immediately display my sparkline, and also a new tab called Sparkline appears on the top row of the worksheet. If I want to spread the sparkline to the rest of the cells, I click on the plus sign at the bottom right of the cell and drag it across all the cells in which I would like my sparkline to be visible in. Also, all the sparklines for the other months will be created.
Finally, if I want to change the format of the sparkline from line to column, I click on the column function at the top right to change to columns. You will also realize that any negative value on my data set will be facing downwards.
